Glacier Point Yosemite National Park Sunrise Adventurous Couple Session

This session with Morgan and CJ was on the last day of my trip to Yosemite National Park and can I just say how thankful I am to the random guys we met on the trail two days before. On our first day in the park we did some location scouting and ran into some photographers at Taft Point ( you can see my session from that location here) that were in Yosemite creating content for companies. We all ended up walking the trail back together after sunset and they said we had to check out Glacier point at SUNRISE! I mean I am not a morning person, but I will gladly wake up for epic light! The trick now was to convince my friends that even though we were going to bed mad late after hiking out of Taft point after sunset, that waking up in the middle of the night for sunrise was a good idea! Haha Thankfully everyone was game and so the very next day we went to check it out and it was ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! One look at how the light comes over half dome and I knew we needed to move Morgan and CJ’s Session from sunset to sunrise. I mean it is so good we actually ran into the guy again at Glacier because they came for a second time to see it.

Morgan and CJ being photographers themselves were down to lose a little sleep and brave the colder temperatures and let me tell you it was worth it! We had the most epic sunrise and it was even a little less crowded than the day before so we really didn’t have to share the space with too many people! After the sun was fully in the sky we headed down the mountain to Yosemite Valley and finished our session running around the meadows before the day got too hot! It was the perfect ending to this dream trip to Yosemite National Park!
