Charleston South Carolina Proposal

Let me tell you about Bryce and Larisa's Proposal story!!

I met Larisa not too long after I moved to Charlotte! We happened to be in the same small group at our church and are both photographers. We became friends and Larisa even second shot for me at a wedding over the summer. In August of 2021 Bryce, Larisa and I went up to the mountains to capture some anniversary photos for them. You can see those photos and hear all about how these two found each other during covid HERE. In November a group from that small group went to Montana (Which you can see that trip here) and Larisa was a part of that trip. On the trip Larisa accidentally got an email that Bryce was getting a diamond direct pamphlet in the mail. It's a long story why she was getting this email but it happened and she quickly clicked out of the email. So when we got back from the trip and Bryce reached out about planning the proposal I was not shocked at all! Haha Bryce told me that they had hotel points to use and that they were planning a trip to Charleston SC for New Year’s eve. He wanted to use this trip to pop the big question! During the month of December while Bryce and I were planning the proposal, Larisa mentioned to me that she was shooting several Proposals coming up for friends. She said she was becoming the 27 dresses of proposals. And I knowing that she was actually going to be proposed to first was laughing on the inside every time she said it!

We set the date for January 1st 2022. I was to meet Bryce’s roommate in the park at The Battery so we can set up Bella, their dog. Bryce had gotten Bella a little bandana that said “Will You Marry My Dad.” We put Bella in the bandana and attached her to a light post so she would be right in the middle of the walkway when Larisa and Bryce walked up. I hid behind a tree and waited. As they walked up Larisa noticed Bella but just thought she was a look alike. It was not until they got closer that she realized that it was in fact Bella waiting for them. Needless to say, despite seeing the pamphlet in Montana (which as it turns out was just a random spam pamphlet) she was completely surprised!! I asked her after she said yes if she had any idea it was coming and she had no idea!

Afterwards we wandered around the area capturing some engagement photos for them but Bryce was not done surprising Larisa just yet. Waiting at a nearby brewery were some of their friends and family ready to celebrate. Once we were done taking photos Bryce said we had a reservation at this brewery (I was in on this surprise as well), so we walked over. And as the hostess walked us to the back of the place, they all started cheering and yelling congrats. For the second time , Larisa was completely surprised!

Needless to say, I cannot wait to party with these two THIS YEAR!!
