Parisian Style Coffee Shop Couple Session

As a photographer it is my job to be creative and sometimes the fact is my job can cause creative blocks. When you have to consistently be creative for work it can be overwhelming. Everything can start to look the same. So I find it is super important to take the time to just be creative, with no pressure attached to it! One of the ways I do this is by attending some styled shoots throughout the year. This allows me to meet other creatives and try new things! Last year I had the opportunity to attend two content days in Chattanooga Tennessee. First let me just say I loved Chattanooga! It is such a cool city and I would love to go back sometime soon! Second, these content days were AMAZING! It was two days filled with 4 different shoots each day, with each shoot being very unique and absolutely beautiful! I also got to meet some incredible photographers from all over! It was exactly what I needed to get the creative juices flowing again!

The session below was from one of those content days. This session at a local coffee shop was one of my favorites! First off Coffee duh, but the styling was absolutely on point! I mean I felt completely transported from Chattanooga Tennessee to Paris France in the blink of an eye. Not to mention that these two lovebirds were perfect. During the session there were a few regular customers looking on, but for the most part we had this little patio to ourselves. We split into a few groups and took turns shooting. In the down time we were able to bounce ideas off each other and then try it on our next turn!

Whether you are new to wedding/couple photography or have been doing this for years, I highly recommend setting time aside for fun shoots. This is where you can practice techniques, try new things, and just get a little creative with your shots!
