New York City Summer Engagement

Shooting In New York City will alway have a special place in my heart! You see New York is the first BIG CITY I visited when I was 16 for a dance performance. I fell in love with the hustle and bustle of big city life, with the creativity that flowed through the streets of the city! For the longest  time (and I mean up until the last few years) I wanted to move to NYC. Now life has gone a little (lot) differently than I planned and I have not moved to NYC, but I do get to visit often! I have even had the chance to photograph several surprise proposals in the city!!! So when Nick told me it was a dream of his to have a shoot in Brooklyn, I WAS THERE FOR IT! We started Brooke and Nickโ€™s engagement session in Washington Square Park because the fountain is supposed to be the one from the TV show friends! Brooke is a huge fan of the show as am I!! Any other Friends fans out there?! Anyone else binge watching before it leave Netflix in January 2020?!?!? NOT COOL NETFLIX! haha sorry to get off track, now back to Nick and Brooke! We ran around the park for the first part of their session using the Washington Square Arch and fountain as a backdrop. We then hoped on the subway to head downtown to Brooklyn! We ended the session with crowded streets, red brick walls, and a GORGEOUS sunset over the NYC skyline!!

Although I had known Nick for years, I had only met Brooke maybe once, but never spent anytime with her when they booked me for their wedding. That is why I am so glad I got to spend the day with them in New York! So I could get  to know Brooke and see how the two of them are together, so I could best capture them on their big day. I MEAN JUST LOOK AT THE WAY THEY LOOK AT EACH OTHER!!!!! It also allowed them to see how I worked so they knew what to expect on their wedding day!

Stay tuned to see their GORGEOUS WEDDING!
